Missing PVE Events & Offers

We're currently investigating an issue causing our early January PVE events and offers from showing up correctly in-game. Part of this is tied to the Boss Event delay (and the related offers that come with it), and part appears to be a separate bug. Once we’ve pinpointed the root cause, we’ll share an updated event schedule.

Mobile games are a small part of the business world, but some day I would love to see a historical write-up on a bigger self-own than MPQ switching over to Unity. Was the game stagnant? Sure, but it ran smooth, had consistent rewards, could set a clock to when things showed up, offers dropped, events started, etc. Post Unity? Disaster.

This is the video game industry. There have probably been bigger self-owns than MPQ/Unity this week, let alone in all of history.

This game is cooked, use to be a good before unity came along. Problems after Problems, no real info until mid jan 🫤

Since there are no PVE's for who knows how long, lets hear some recent ones! I've got time for rabbit holes to follow.

Halo and Bungie as a studio.

The fall of Blizzard as a studio also pretty epic.

The devs of I think the Games name was Alazara or so, game‘s 90% done, devs do a huge campaign on LinkedIn, hundreds of backers, one Week later they stomp it in completly

Look up Jason Schreier, he's a journalist who's made an entire career out of game development failures! His archives on Bloomberg are paywalled but you can still get to what he wrote for Kotaku.

    Offers are back!

Of course. Can’t have a game without revenue.

Ask Curt Schilling about Studio 38.

Well at least pvp works properly except the placement rewards, Cyclops pvp gives Cyclops covers for next event, maybe it‘s Xavuary…

Honestly, the break has been nice.

Obviously anyone can take a break whenever they want to do so, but not feeling the need to put the usual time in (while also not feeling like there's something being missed out on) while also busy with family related (the kids still on school break) responsibilities has been a plus in my view.

I've been encouraging burnt out players to take breaks for years now, and it's something I've done too.

Sometimes they realize they enjoy the game, they miss it, and they eventually come back. Sometimes they figure out that it was just a habit, part of their routine, or worse, an addiction. Those players don't usually come back.

I didn't really expect the devs to force a break on everyone, but maybe it'll help some folks to reflect on whether they still want to be doing this.

I agree with this, but it can’t be said that it’ll be healthy for the longevity of MPQ, which from my perspective (and I’m sure many here) is a sad thing…

I don't think we can know if it's healthy for the game or not. It really depends on the percentage of all players (not just the vets here!) that are burned out/addicted/just keeping up the routine.

Are you suggesting that if all the vets get chased away [killed off] and that perhaps the majority of players remaining will have an undeveloped roster, that the game will have another 10 or more years in it (essentially starting again)?
    That’s a real Thanos outlook you’ve got there…
Hey, has anyone checked that EB isn’t Thanos??
