I also suspect they were more people that noticed it was odd and most likely cheating and reported them. Most non- serious players might just be delighted with the points and move on.

It's been reported at least a dozen times by others. Probably just a case of no one in office to sandbox them yet.

Just curious -- how do you know for sure that there are no automated rules that sandbox cheaters? Do you spend a lot of time following their scores in PvP?

I have been in online spaces like line and discord and people will talk about and have examples of cheaters who are still around. Some of them might have been reported before.

I dunno who’s responsible in the org for sandboxing generally but I did see a post from Sept last year from a former CS employee of 505/d3go. So maybe they cut those folks back and set some hard priorities (purchase and login fixes would obviously be far more important than some nerfherder who gives himself points).

Usually it's that they're cheating in some way that hasn't been done before, so the automated rules don't flag them. Someone would have to manually investigate what they're doing before they take any action.

Thursday (as in, tomorrow) ordinarily marks the start of a new season (Soul). This is accompanied by a new 5* release and a schedule for the events (Story/PVE and Versus/PVP) tied to the new release.

Checking the forums, there is a mention in the R337 Release Notes about the "next character" but no separate announcement or details on the next release if it does start tomorrow.

If a delayed Boss event is still on the table, it would be very helpful to know so players and teams can plan in advance. Or come back to the game since the off season PVE (after Boss) went AWOL also.

Yeah, I've seen higher scores when shang is boosted, but I've almost never seen 2000 point scores in slice 2. The last time it happened was when a bunch of slice 4 players invaded slice 2 and used their cupcake climbing tactics to drive up scores.

Could be that too! It's off-season so sometimes they try. They never stay though. If that cheater hasn't been sandboxed yet (they usually auto-sandbox them within a few hours) they could also drive up scores.

I dunno why they obscured his id but I believe he has been reported a few times. I heard about this guy days ago.

The only tool, I believe, that can catch people somewhat automatically is if you go into your account and give yourself an insane amount of HP or whatever via hacks. Because they have some kind of comparison tool or whatever that runs to catch those fools.

Then CS manually does the sandboxing.

No one is auto-sandboxing the guy in question who's apparently doing something to just give himself points in pvp.

We're not allowed to post player names here (even suspected cheaters!).

I don't know what this person is doing, but we often see players with very low level PvP teams who repeatedly beat us very quickly. They always disappear, and they often disappear at odd times. I don't know if CS is doing it, but if they are, they're doing it pretty quickly.

One of my old alliancemates, around the time Thanos was released, was sandboxed automatically for winning fights too fast (Thanos was VERY fast relative to the rest of what we had available at the time). I don't know if that rule is still in place but it existed before.

hahahah. These things always get patched and handled appropriately. But its always interesting to hear how EXACTLY they are manipulating the environment.

The old game is pretty well hardened against solo players manipulating scoring. Those changes are blatant and obvious and its just a policy decision of how to ban those accounts.

So we'll see what happens.

Since I only play PvE, it's been really discouraging to have nothing to do except Deadpool's Daily for what feels like a long time. I don't enjoy the Puzzle Quests, and I am terrible at PvP and don't bother.

Really losing interest in this game quite rapidly now, It cant be that difficult to queue a pve can it?
If the estimate is mid January I think I'll have come out of the daily addiction.

What kind of fun thing feels like a vacation when you can’t do it, or…don’t have to do it? What? It’s fun… isn’t it?

Did anyone else notice the 24 hour lightning deals were put up for 2-3 days? It doesn't really effect anything, just thought it was funny.

Personally I'm missing PvE because it's where I get to try fun teams. In PvP I have to use something strong so I won't get killed on defense. In PvE I can just do whatever whenever.

This boost week isn't crazy but I have a few of the 3* and 4* at high ascended levels and they might be good.

I don't care about rewards or the habit or routine or any of that. When they put PvE back I'll continue messing around with whatever characters are boosted on that list.

I have a feeling they aren't going to queue up a PvE until tomorrow.

My guess is they will put out a Boss PvE event tomorrow without any communication so half our alliances aren't ready or even playing right now since there has been a lack of content.

I say this because whatever PvE would have been going on at this time, would more than likely end tomorrow anyway, so why would they bother changing the schedule so we could actually play something today.

I am sure they will, whenever pve starts back up, stick to the model of Thursday being a new one and one on Sun or Monday depending on how long it is so it ends on Thursday for most players (some play past midnight on Friday etc).

Just because all their stuff has been the same for years and likely there are some pieces they copy and paste built around a 7 day calendar and 4 week cycle and always starting on a Thursday etc.

Every time they did short seasons in the past it screwed things up for when people enter tokens etc.

Just take it easy and see what happens. It’s just a video game.

Just played intro for Strange Sights and the result is Event Ended when trying to enter first sub. It never ends it seems.

I also played The stranger sights opening event. It's glitching and you cannot continue on. I'm a little bit frustrated. We have Been waiting a long time for event and first thing off it's glitching. Lol. I also got Event Ended prompt.
