I'll stick with it a bit but it's so uncomfortable having it speed up then slow down then speed up then slow down. Needs sorting. If it doesn't improve I could see dropping the game altogether.

In battles, the pause / options menu is appearing every time I return the game to foreground mode. This didn’t happen in the old engine. I switch apps a lot while playing, to respond to messages etc.; having to dismiss the pause menu every time I come back to the game is very annoying.

Just for a bit of balance, I'm on Android and am having no real issues whatsoever (barring the annoyance of the upgrade filter bug previously noted)

It seems like the content servers are in a different place from the old engines servers. Is this the case?
I was having a really really really bad time for a while.
I popped on a VPN and tested about 12 different servers, and when I found a fast one I tried to cache as much content as possible.Um we have Christmas covers in the game right now. Spiderman 3, Thor 2, and Deadpool 3. So that's interesting, but you will only see them on toons that are not ascended.
APP switching on iOS SUUUUUUUUCKS. It brings up the pause menu during matches, and I have had a few times already where it completely logs and forces a reauthentication. I switch often while playing and it is rather annoying.
Sometimes resolving matches takes a long time (upwards of two minutes).
The game runs really hot now. Like stupidly hot. I don't know if it is just because all of the new assets are being downloaded and cached but yikes it forced a screen dim on my iphone pro max. The back of my phone got hot to the touch, and thats never happened before.
Maybe force a frame rate limit on the game.
The build number on the bottom left sucks and is distracting...can you either remove it or drop it below the bottom context menu?
The game feels both snappy and sluggish which is weird? Menu animations look good.
Opening covers is way too fast there should be some sort of delay when the cover is revealed. I opened about 20 and often times I couldn't even see what was pulled.6 -

Unfortunately, the original game didn't have a "Download all assets" button which would've improve the initial Unity experience. It'll be an ongoing area of improvement though.Also, for crossplay enabled devices, be sure to update both versions of MPQ to avoid any versioning desyncing. I've seen some issues where a secondary device isn't able to access the main account, but the main account is working fine. Please reach out to CS and we'll try to troubleshoot since this crossplay feature isn't really a Unity thing and we should be able to help troubleshoot.
Playing on iPad. While it improved somewhat over time, optimization seems very bad and there's just a lot of lag when displaying assets other than UI (menus and text). Admittedly I'm not on the newest of tablets, but displaying the UI and graphical assets in a match-3 game should not be such a problem. It's not running on a VIC-II chip
.
It also seems to buffer clicks so when I click a button or event and nothing seems to be happening (because of lag) and I tap more/again it can sometimes 'automatically' click in the new screen.
I can't 'superfast-scroll' down through my roster page any more

On android:
2* Wolverine also has a different cover. Noticed while making pulls, but not quick enough to tell what type it switched to.
When you get bonus shards from Standard, Elite, Heroic, and Mighty tokens, the text is blocked by the favorited player.
I didn't pull any LL's or Classics for confirmation there. Will update if I do.There is a character missing from Mighty token window
The green "Boost More" button isn't half blocked anymore!! Thank you!

The resolution has increased and the game overall looks sharper than ever... but this came at the cost of an abysmal drop on the frames per second. It sure would be nice to have a way to control the graphics settings.
For some reason I have the additional rewards enabled even tho I didn't purchase anything.
I could run Karnak's clash once again and get another couple of LL tokens, not sure if that was intended. Probably not.There was a game where I couldn't use Polaris' stun. I had filled the board with friendly protect tiles (running Polaris BRB you know the deal) and I already had stunned a different enemy character before I switched my target to stun another character. I couldn't stun this second enemy character I intended to. The game told me "this power won't have effect" (this happens when you're casting the stun again on the same character and the board is filled with special tiles so no more strike tiles can be placed), but I had selected another (unstunned) enemy for the target. I tried switching to the third enemy character, to no avail. I was unable to stun again and lost the game.

One of the infinity stones has an immunity to stun power? Who was the character you were trying to stun?

Android - the missing back button is messing with my muscle memory.
Overall things seem to be working as intended, so glad I wasn't part of the steam deploy. The "smooth" transitions feel off putting as I get used to them. Some stuff is still taking a second to load, even after using the same team multiple times but not hitting any game breaking bugs.
I did get bonus rewards switched on, having not spent any $, not sure if that was a deliberate feature as they couldn't track over versions.

Just received a "Winter in July" vault token. Guessing those random seasonal covers that appeared on a bunch of 2s and 3s are intended then?

I'm on Android phone and it's always been like that for me, so possibly not an engine issue.
On another note, it's beginning to look a lot like christmas with the cover swaps 😅 At least 4* Cyclops and 3 * Hulk have winter holiday covers... And I haven't updated the game yet.

The lag in this thing is infuriating. There's a second delay from clicking or swiping to something actually happening on nearly everything. Upgrade filters don't bring up the right characters. Why did you release this?

Have you not been getting extra LT for daily crash all this time? I'm not saying that these issues aren't annoying or anything but I don't see the Devs asking for any of those extra tokens back - this week alone you must have cashed in loads of rewards. I also see people getting bonus rewards having not spent a penny, which again the Devs are not looking to claw back.
Sure this thing is a clusterf but it is sort of like getting snowed in at a retreat that is giving you free extra beer per day. Some rough and some smooth.

I am not seeing alot of lag, some when I am opening tokens and redeeming vault tokens.
The matches made and tile drop seems to move faster. I don't like how big the damage numbers look or the attack tile animation...I guess I just need to get used to it. Also not fan ui changes to alliance chat screen, it looks like there is added depth.
The add covers filter shows characters that can't have covers add to them.
Overall the experience has been okay... i am still give them too much credit. The repeatable crash node with what seems like daily LTs is good enough compensation for me for however long that last.
Thank you steam and kindle players for being the true beta testers.

So are people still getting to replay the crash node? Not been a thing on my android version since the update. But then again I've not been seeing any of the issues around severe lag etc that others are reporting so maybe its just my device is "better" at using the new engine or something?

Now that I've had some time with the update, it's not too bad. I'm on Android and the biggest annoyance is having to pull up the back button, but the daily crash LL tokens and the recurring fan favorite vault tokens more than make up for that. The few glitches I experienced the first time I logged in have all gone away. The game seems to run a bit faster and smoother.
Overall it's been positive. Just fix my back button and I'll be happy.
