    Stepping outside an echo chamber after living in it for years is pretty traumatic. When you're convinced that everyone shares all the same ideas and you're suddenly exposed to people who don't, it's really easy to just dismiss them as toxic haters.

    This will remove half the posts here to read, but I can do without these constant attacks on players. Moderation is a joke here.

    Now that it’s much quieter in here:

    Migz,

    There are multiple issues with season start and quests, similar to last season.

    The quest screen is also affecting the stability of the game causing freezes.

    Those players can still comment, you just won't see what they say. It won't be any quieter for the Devs and now they can just explain more reasons not to listen to you.

    Truly, nothing says "I don't live in an echo chamber" like blocking everyone who disagrees with you.

    There's also no particular reason to announce it...why would anybody care?

    Presumably you will be screaming in to the void over such an injustice.

    I see the plan already. Block us all so that he can only see his own posts! Then it will be like he has a one to one relationship with the Devs! Maybe there will be a candle light barbie? Who knows what might happen? It starts with the quest screen freezing but maybe ends in...love?

    You’re fine and I took your advice to heart not to show appreciation in advance for answers to questions we pose.

    I just had to self-care and remove elements that ruined my experience here. I know I can still read their comments if I choose to and I know they can read mine and keep posting hateful comments, but at least I don’t have to see them if I choose so.

    Change starts at home. Thank you (unironically) for your suggestions on perception.

    Now onto the crux of what im reading, it can be extremely difficult for people to gauge how people word their answers and the level of snark attached to it. Lord knows I've been guilty of it and have apologised for any offence caused. That said I do belive the block user is a viable option. If you dont see eye to eye with someone and its a constant issue, in the interest of mental wellbeing I personally, block. I've only used it once but I think rather than fighting a losing battle choose not to participate.

    This is quite possibly the most sensible post I've ever done.

    What sort of block though?

    I certainly don’t agree with everything people post here on the forums. EB can sometimes refuse to get down off his soap box, but I find it’s good to have your opinions challenged. Helps maintain what is hopefully a balanced outlook.
    I get that you had to self-care right now. But I honestly think much of any ‘animosity’ was a perception thing, probably both directions. It’s very seldom there are any personal attacks here on the forum, and whenever they do happen they get modded and some bans/suspensions get fairly handed out.
    All of which is to say, perhaps consider unblocking folks at some point in the future, and see if we can’t all just have civil discussions surrounding the game.
    From my point of view it’s quite nice to have some fresh blood, and perspectives here on the forum.
    Maybe someone will join the fray that can rival @DAZ0273 or @ThisisClemFandango for Wackyness levels, but that’s a tall peak to climb!

    It's unclear to me why someone would subject themselves to such a toxic, hateful environment for no reason.

    This poster has stated that they're only here because they have to be -- to report critical issues to the devs, because we were not capable of doing so.

    This is not true. Every issue they've reported has either already been reported by another poster, or was reported by another poster immediately after them. We don't need any help complaining about stuff that's broken.
