Need to add a mechanic similar to 5* riri intelligent design so Kang can't spam his away power.
Obviously they recognized the need to create a countdown that limited the spam use of 5* riri powers.

Just limit the 5* to 2 Away enemies max and the 3* to 1 Away enemy max.

What, you can't beat him so now you want him nerfed? Sounds like sour grapes to me.
Nerfs are NEVER the answer. Kang is just fine. They shouldn't nerf him, they should make a counter to him.

I have mixed feelings about some of your posts, but this one is brilliant.

Here's another odd one.
Gargantos was invisible and last alive.
Used 3* Kang's Temporal Shift, I was able to cast it, but it did not affect Gargantos. Gargantos came back from Invis while the CD was still on the board and it immediately sent him away and I won.5 -
I have to say, after doing the PvP, getting to “Away” the last character was a huge QOL improvement (and fun lol). It’s not really viable to send all three away in a pick-2 where Kang isn’t a required third. He’d still have to get 27 AP with a single battery to do that and I'm not sure who the best pick-2 partner would be for that.
I also enjoyed trivializing the pick 3 nodes on the PVE side. The easy nodes are already trivial/inconsequential one swipe wins. Seems the non-essentials will be as well. Can’t say I hate it.
I say, let them eat Kang!

Yeah, even if you aren't awaying everybody and insta-winning, Kang's blue is now pretty obviously the best power in the game because you can get rid of any stubborn/mega levelled character you like instantly if you get them down to last man. Even just using it tactically is useful.

Man if Hit Monkey destroyed his Pink countdowns instead of removing them then he might have been epic. He might still be in Pick-3 with mThor, but yeah, I can’t think of anyone who spams countdowns in 5* land. Besides Gargantos. Someone will be along later to tell me I don’t know what I’m talking about.

Iceman comes to mind, but he drains blue to create the CDs.

Oddly enough, I’ve only seen one Hawkeye and Deadpool with Kang in my climb up. Maybe because Okoye and Wanda are boosted? Or just trash on defense I guess. I targeted them with Hulkoye which means I’ve almost caught up to the meta from three years ago.I have one - Lvl 507 Kang/593 Hawkeye/370 Deadpool. Not decided whether to fight it as not worth the points TBH but I might keep it and see if they climb higher.

Even just using it tactically is useful. It's the actual counter for all the crazy overpowered defensive passives we've been getting, going back to when SW/Colossus was everywhere. 9ap kill a guy is absolutely a new level of power and it's something we've never seen, but how else do you make those guys beatable?
I remain very, very interested to see what happens here. This is the natural result of the arms race that's been on for the last few years.

And to top it off they made an ancient old 4* as his feeder. I got two full covers out the bag and I imagine others got many many more! So the Wrath of Kang has begun. Now the obvious counter to Kang has gotta be Immortus, right?

I think 5* Wasp is the counter.

They could make a character that's immune to Away, but they'd have to have some other very strong passive that's helpful/overpowered in its own right... because otherwise you could just Away everybody besides Wasp and kill her normally. I suppose you could make a guy that gives his whole team Away immunity?

"The power of the Swarm are the ties that bind us together. While a Swarm tile is on the board, characters cannot be sent away."

If there ever was a chance for 5* AntMan with an interesting ability you could have something with him.
Ant Man zips in and out of the quantum realm finding friends and foes alike. Bring all away characters back to the game.1 -
Wasp stands strong, her amazing waspie swarm powers resisting the shifting sands of time and reality (don't ask)... until she is downed on the next round by a massive iHulk aoe. Chasm laughs.

Chasm doesn't strike me as the laughing type.
Maybe a moustache twirl.0 -
And the absolute best part of a character like that? If you want to be immune to Kang-cheese, you need to bring that guy -- instead of Chasm, Scarlet Witch or Colossus! Whatever resources you invested in those other guys become totally worthless!!!
Plus, in a Kang meta, power boosters like Okoye and Apocalypse lose a lot of value. You can't boost Kang's instakill power, and you don't need to anyway. Protect tiles from Beta Ray Bill are worthless against it.
Kang is what players asked for: "give us counters, not nerfs!" Now we'll all get to find out if that's what they really wanted.
