    I definitely prefer chibi over pixels, but that's just me.

    Isn't the costume supposed to be available by now? It's not showing in the offer store for me. But I can view the costume when I visit the character.

    Not really. They've already done it. Loki can become Sylvie, deadpool can become alternate universe lady dp, spider man can become Hornet, Venom can become Ellie Ellison magical girl....

    I am not 100% how to think about the Venom Magical Girl....is it a different character with a different host?.....but the others you mention are variants of the same character. Sylvie is Loki as a female from a different reality.....same with Lady Deadpool and Hornet is Spidey in a costume when he was trying to hide himself iirc.

    Nova and Shalla Bal are completely different characters....Frankie Raye is from earth, Shalla from whatever planet ol' Norrin also hails from. Etc

    The cats already out of the bag on this. You can nitpick if a different genered character, from a different universe is the same because they share a name, but Ellie is in no way Eddie Brock. They've left the gate open for characters of similar powers having skins of completely different characters, and with the FF movie just coming out, that move would have made perfect sense to me. They chose another lazy alternate art style costume though, so it doesn't really matter.

    In a universe where we have sooooo many alternate costumes for characters, a costume that is exactly the same but cutesy just comes off as boring and lazy to me.

    Let's just use 4 star juggernaut for an example. He is a fan favorite marvel villain and fan fav in this game with a ton of costumes to choose from. They could have gone with:

    Trion Juggernaut

    Skeletal Jugg

    X-men member jugg

    Ultimate universe jugg

    and I could keep going.... but instead we just get the same exact hammer jugg but he's all cutesy now.

    If you like them that's fine, everyone has different taste. I just find all of the alternate art style costumes (chibi, pixelated, manga) that keep the same exact costume but changed slightly boring compared to giving them a completely new costume from one of the many, many costumes in the comics these characters have to pick from.

    I would note that the Magical Girl Venom was a winner of a costume poll picked by players.

    I can't recall who else was in there and whether any other of the choices were a completely different person inside the costume.

    Anyway this game's devs often veer towards cutesy and fun choices for characters and costumes; if that's not your taste, I understand; but nonetheless, that's what you should expect to happen more often than not, imo.

    That's because the original Nova art is in my opinion in the running for 5 worst art jobs in the game. It's so bad. It looks like she's wearing a weird masquerade mask.

    I would have preferred the comic-look art (like 2 Electro for example, or 5 Mephisto) but just about anything is better than the original art.

    It's so bad I am half convinced they intentionally did a bad job to sell more costumes.

    Nova/Frankie art is quite bad. Not sure why we couldn’t have had a costume based upon her pre-Herald days.

    I don't mind the costume being cute or silly. I think hell cows ghost costume is hilarious and the little girl venom is fun. I just dislike costumes that are the same exact costume with an art style change.
