New Deadpool's Daily Quest timing clashing with PVE event timing

For as long as I've played MPQ, each Deadpool's Daily Quest event always started 1 hour before the PVE event's first slice start/finish time, 10 minutes after the previous DDQ event had finished.

(For clarity, the event always started at 3:00am US PST, and always ended at 2:50am US PST.)

This timing was fine, and caused no disruption to any PVE or PVP event.

A few days ago, after the DDQ event didn't appear at that usual, it was started at a different time, 10 minutes before the PVE event's third slice start/finish time.

(For clarity, the event now starts at 1:50pm US PST, and ends at 1:40pm US PST.)

This change of time has an unexpected consequence for those playing the third slice optimally: it means that as you play in the final 20 minutes of sub-event, you'll be knocked out of the sub-event into the main STORY menu twice, once with 20 minutes to go, and once with 10 minutes to go.

Obviously this isn't life or death stuff (nothing MPQ-related is), but it is disruptive for players, and unnecessarily so.

It makes sense to move the DDQ start time back to its previous time slot, or another time that's at least an hour before or an hour after any PVE or PVP slice starts/finishes, so no longer causes any inconvenience.

You're looking for "Quality of Life" gains; this is an easy to achieve one.

I think they said this was an accident and they planned to go back to the usual time next week, but I can't find it now.

Did I hallucinate this or is it just buried in one of those giant posts on here?

I think the safest bet for DDQ to revert back to old timing is probably at the start of the DDQ cycle, ie Monday. Let's wait and see.

Thanks, it's in there, but I was wrong. They said they're not planning to change the time for DDQ.

We will make a formal post about time-zone related changes for certain things in the lead up to the next Season. We didn't intend for the Season to go out at a different time to normal on this last one, but going forward, we will need to officially move it from 4am our time coz we generally like most of our devs to be fully awake when a key thing is happening.

(The DDQ issue wasn't an intended time change either, but I don't believe we have any plans currently to change that timing.)

    @TheMigz

    Please see my post above.

I understand a "If it ain't broke don't fix it" approach but the current start/finish times of DDQ aren't player-friendly, for the reason I explained.

If it has to be at that time of day, a start 50 minutes earlier (at 1:00pm US EST) or 1 hour 10 minutes later (at 3:00pm US EST) would be more player-friendly, as either would be an hour away from any PVE or PVP event.

Hopefully you can make that happen.
