We know nothing about anything. Let's not forget that IceIX declared that he had a very heavy hand in designing the ascension system. Ice is 505 side. Let's just judge things when the new coders get on board.

If I find someone's fingerprints at a crime scene, I can't prove just from that evidence that they stole the artwork off the wall. But I do know something.

There's a difference between knowing nothing and having evidence that can't predict the future.

    OK, I don't really care.

I care. I find value in the distinction. But thanks for telling me you don't care. Now, I can't predict what you're going to say next. But I have information that will help me figure out how to interpret it.

After reading 5+ pages, I only have one question... is Gems of War still around? You guys talk so much about it that now I am curious and want to try it out xD

I once knew a soldier that came from a respectable middle class family whose name was literally "Courage".

We were paratroopers in the 82nd Airborne Division.

    America's Guard of Honor.

SPC Courage attempted to flip the off switches of our entire platoon with some poisoned cupcakes.

That's what I always think of when people talk about predicting the behavior of others.

We have no idea what the game will look like going forward.

There is no data, that is sound and certain, that leads to a firm conclusion of what MPQ looks like this time next year.

Switching out some devs being seen as an indication of intent to make changes to improve the game is completely valid though.

I'm excited to see what happens in the next year.

OK. I don't have anything useful to add and shouldn't have said anything. I'm sorry.

Yes, it is. It is a 3 match collecting game with lots and lots of troops. Old game, so catching up with the collection will take some time.

I used to love it, but the game went in a not so good direction when pvp was completely overhauled, and power creep weapons and troops severely messed up the game balance. Monetization became more important than it used to be.

    • if you like to collect a lot of troops, try fun combination, and want to be in a decent guild to do pve type events, that can be attained relatively fast
    • If you are the sort of person who thrives on high lvl competitive pvp, you will probably get frustrated, catching up with the monetized immortal troops and dragonite dragons you need for that is nigh impossible

For casual and pve play, you do not need these special troops, so that part of the game is fine

Gems of War has had something like 10
Updates a year for the past couple of years.

It seems fine but the graphics are much more reminiscent of the era from early 2010s even than this one with minimal flashiness.

Their game Puzzle Quest 3 has 3d characters you can watch hit each other after you make matches.

Interestingly both have a lot of different settings you can adjust to make your battery last longer, speed up or slow down the game, etc etc.

Oh, c'mon, the cupcakes from Wal-Mart aren't literally poison.

Thanks for this! I hate competitive PvP, so I'll probably give it a try at some point
