New Planeswalkers

Kaalia of the Vast

Lia was born on a Bant farm near the ruins of Eos. She got to know firsthand what the Grixis demons were capable of when her village was attacked, and she was saved by the Nacatl Nira. This new friend convinced the young girl to use her magic to disrupt one of the demon's rituals, giving the girl a new moniker, Kaalia, meaning power in Nira’s language. In retaliation, Nefarox, the ruler of Grixis, destroyed Kaalia’s village, killing her family and Nira in the process. Now blinded by revenge, Kaalia grows in power, waiting to unleash her punishment on Nefarox.

Valgavoth, Terror Eater

Valgavoth was first summoned to the mortal plane of what would one day be known as Duskmourn by a family trying to summon a harmless servant spirit. The family soon realized what they had summoned and bound the demon to their old house, where he stayed, lurking. Centuries later, Valgavoth tricked a young Marina Vendrell into bringing a group of her bullies to the house, and with this first sacrifice, the demon started his growth. He expanded his house to encompass the whole plane, in what is now known as Duskmourn.

Valgavoth, Terror Eater is a Black Planeswalker that will be available for purchase and selection in Lorwyn.

  • Infest creatures and they will either weaken or die and become manifested dreads.

“Lorwyn’s stones resonate with the place from which they were hewed. Though taken far, still they call to their home when silence is upon the land.”

Lorwyn is a quaint and abundant plane, the tribes are not in constant war, but resources are plenty, and conflicts are sparse. But something is happening to the creatures of this land, with the passing days the bogart grow more rabid and aggressive, the beast grow more violent, the lands grow sharper and more sinister. What hides behind the ever so bright light of the never setting sun, what hides behind the growing shadow that threatens to cover everything and all?

Special Rules

A cycling support affects each player as they explore the lands of Lorwyn.

The supports are:

Tribes of Lorwyn

Event Type: PvE

Deck Restrictions: Standard, Special

Number of nodes: 4

Planeswalkers Allowed: No Restrictions

Duration: 46h

Charges (per node): Unlimited

Progression + Ranking rewards

Each tribe has its own history, culture, and beliefs. Their differences escalate into squabbles that sometimes are only solved through petty fighting. The Boggart are too chaotic for their own good. The Merrow control commerce and trade; they have the knowledge necessary to traverse Lorwyn’s waters, and that gives them too much power. The elves are the true dominant species of the plane, but their incessant pursuit of beauty pits them against all other tribes. The fae are mischievous tricksters, but harbor a dark agenda to feed their Fae Mother Oona, the one who hides in the shadows of Lorwyn and controls the Great Aurora. Though war is not commonplace in Lorwyn, conflict still arises between the many folk of this plane.

Special Rules

Players can only use creatures of the following types: Goblin, Merfolk, Elf, and Fairy.
