SCL10 Challenge Node Bug & Upcoming Fix

As many of you have experienced since the release of R332, Challenge Nodes in SCL10 have been crashing for players due to an issue where enemy scaling is hitting an invalid threshold that can crash at the 4th clear. This issue has been identified, fixed, and will be implemented in an upcoming R333 release in a few weeks. Until then, we will be patching upcoming events server-side as a partial fix. If you still encounter this issue, please let us know so we can investigate further.

Does that mean the threshold for damage from High Evolutionary has increased before flipping to one?

Ok devs, good one. You fooled me. I thought it’d be fixed.

    Where’s the hidden camera?

Imo this is your fault for believing the devs. If go back and look at the last 4 to 5 release notes there is atleast 1 maybe 2 bullet points that were not true. And over this calendar I would say they have posted atleast 20% inaccurate info.

Ofcourse I pulled the 20% number out of thin air. But to me it feels like 20%. A day the devs dont post is actually a good day.

Figures...when I joined the hunt the end times were off by a hour. Seems to just be a visual issue since my event countdown is correct.

Edit: it's because of daylight savings time.

I'm having the same issue again now. I thought it was fixed before but guess not. I can't finished my green node tap in the current pve. Very frustrating.

Yeah it sucks, but I'm thankful that it affects everyone. I'll take the chat time back 😀

I don't care at all, as long as they don't fix it in the middle of an event AGAIN.

I think the reason might be the AI level was bumped to 825 after the 3rd clear, but displayed as 799 later. Likely the game still registered 825 as true value and crash.... :/

It's not crashing in Lost in Time -- they just set the challenge node to the old scaling again.

Aka, they STILL don't know how to fix it.

It's whatever. As long as it's the same for everyone and it stays that way the whole event it's fine. It's only an issue when it affects the integrity of the competition.

I'm not embarrassed for them, fwiw. The ability to feel that died somewhere around the 12th consecutive month of every single PvP fight being Okoye/Hulk. They don't know what they're doing and they haven't for a very very long time.

Eh. I haven't seen enough difference to draw any distinction. Some of the staff (like IceIX) seem to be the same anyway.

It feels like they are tried to do the engine switch with an "maintenance mode" level staffing. We are long past saying they are bad/incompetent software devlopers. I'm sure they now have real budget and manpower limits. and steps are being skipped simply because there's no one available to validate or pay for the hours/servers. I jsut hope they get these infrastructure issues resolved in next 2 releases. Yeah, I expect this continue for another quarter (3month) as the app store deployments already require weeks of review
