So, are we allowed to do the quests that we can do?

Same. Two more covers, and I'm good.

I've got FF fatigue. When I saw the whole new list of FF quests, I didn't bother reading them. I just don't enjoy using the characters and can't be bothered to put myself through it anymore.

After doing my usual playthroughs I checked again to see if I was being too hasty... Then I saw it was for ascended versions of the FF... And I laughed out loud earning myself a few confused looks.

No hate to those that love the FF and their MPQ versions, congrats to you guys for the chance to get covers, costumes, etc... And it's not even about those of us with full rosters that can target and ascend 4 stars in relatively short time periods. It's not even about my view of the FF (in game) being tiresome to play.

The average MPQ player hasn't been playing for over a decade. They don't have the resources to expend on ascending characters that have no long term meta value over many other characters in the game... Unless they spend real money.

So... Unity Gate is still ongoing and there's an expectation for players to ascend FF characters while holding off on ascending MBaku, Karnak, America Chavez, Juggs, Coulson... Feel free to imagine I said whichever character you're thinking of that would have more value being ascended (to the player) than any FF character.

Even if they spend real money to get FF ascended to finish the quests, those average players will learn quickly that they just spent real money on characters that don't really improve their experience.

I'm forced to imagine the devs being contacted by marvel with a request to push the movie hard showcasing FF in new and exciting ways... Then I think... Should have just given everyone ascended versions if you wanted any good faith to come out of it.

Anyone with another point of view, please feel free to share. I'm not "trying" to be negative, I just don't get it.

This is merely a fix to the existing bug that ascended versions don’t count for the original quests. Not a big ploy to push more FF to us. With these new quests, everyone can complete them one way or the other. Not very elegant, and horribly communicated. But nothing more than that.

That actually makes sense and is reasonable.

The communication has always a been a issue and expected at this point. Ppl that logged in 3-4hrs after the 9am pst reset would never know there were friends and enemy quests.

It was pretty obvious what they were doing with the ascended versions ff4 quest but if you were able to complete the original quests then a player can be oblivious to the issues happening to other players.

Communication should be better right now. It’s slightly improved but there are still lots of gaps.

The player morale is lower than it’s been in years I think.

I waver between them not caring much because they are just waiting for the end, or them not being able to get on top of it because everything seems to blow up in their faces or maybe they got mad yesterday because some people got some extra levels and covers on 5CM and Cap FA etc. So in this specific case they just decided we could suck it up.

Is the costume for annihilus torch in the season pass a mistake? The art is for the 2* torch

I don't know but I like it. They should do more of these -- they're good for confusing opponents in PvP.

The Human Torch vault has Annihilus covers but a costume for 2 Torch.

I’m just riding this wild train without any expectations of consistency or apparent planning at this point.

It’s all part of the show.

In the 2015 event I went into a fight thinking I was fighting 3* Deadpool with a pink costume, it was Xpool though. I still won but got hit with a few hundred thousand damage before I realized it lol.

It's funny -- back in the very very early days when we'd ask for costumes or customization, they'd say they couldn't do it because of all the variant characters. If you could put, say, Xforce in 2* Wolverine's costume, it'd be too confusing for players.

I guess they're not worried about that anymore!

I mean the real problem is that they barely made any change to the pose for XF Deadpool from 3* Deadpool.

It’s just that the standard costume is a lot different looking. And then there was the pirate costume. Then the pink one makes you think it’s a chroma for the red/the 3.

I like the Freedom Johnny on Annihilus costume. It makes more sense with the repeated poses. Now, they're all the same.

I did not see this mentioned, for Season Pass level 67 on the premium side it shows Thing cover and guess what cover I got. Invisible woman.
