New quest system.

Is it just me, or did this game become less rewarding...
If you miss one day, you miss out on the weekly reward,
Pls change this system. lol

I think the confusion came from the first week of the new quests, that was 2 days shorter due to the wait, and in that first shorter week you would indeed miss out on the "big" reward if you missed a single quest.

I really like the new Quest design, and it also explains why the daily rewards were tweaked all thise weeks ago. I always support more rewards for playing more vs buying more.

I think it's an improvement, overall, and I'm very glad to see the end of "level up a Planeswalker", "buy a Planeswalker" (both of which punished people for already having a fully developed roster) and "master X [rarity] cards" (which was wildly, disproportionately grindy compared to any other quests and punished you for having already mastered a lot of cards).
My only nitpick is that the "Cast 15 [creature type] creatures" would be less annoying/tedious if it were "summon" instead of "cast", especially given how frequently the quest seems to be a creature type that's very common as tokens, like Goblin, Warrior or Elemental.

For the 15 cast, I go to the first story, build a deck with three of the cheapest creatures of the type and a ton of draw spells.

For the 15 cast, I got to Story 1-2 (because 1-1 has a Defender creature from the start iirc), and choose a PW able to have a 10 creature deck, and use 10 creatures of the required subtype.
In White/Black I use Sorin1,
In Green/Red I use Samut, but Nissa1 and Koth1 would work too.
I haven't had a need for 10 creatures in a Blue PW deck so far.0 -
Thanks to the efforts of GozMaster's, and the FTA Discords, we crowdsourced this list of all the quests pretty quickly:
(If anyone sees a quest on here I haven't got, please let me know!)
Groups 1-3 are almost all completely trivial and you rarely have to take any specific action to complete them; play a few levels and you'll find they are complete anyway
Group 5, honestly, hasn't given me much trouble either. I was expecting the "15 tribal creature" quests to take a bit of effort; in practice I find I rarely have to play extra games to complete these quests, my main strategies for completion being a) throwing a single tribal creature into a looping Legacy combo deck, or b) throwing 10 unmastered tribal creatures into a deck for an easy PvE level.
So for me the new system is all about Group 4, which basically boils down to "play 3 or 4 games every day", which I'm happy to do.
I do have niggles with Group 4, tho: while it does seem to be the case that there's a PvE running every day recently (which was not always true a year or two ago with the old system!), I don't like the way I always have to save PvE events for the last day rather than being able to play them straight away... if I complete any PvE event on the first day it's entirely possible that, to complete a PvE quest the next day, I'd have to replay the same event for no reward.
Worse than this tho is the fact that once every 5 days I have to waste my time playing 4 Story Mode levels. I can't be the only player here who long ago cleared out all of Story Mode (in my case, to earn crystals to buy the PMA set, and there's been a second Puzzle Masters set since then!)
About the rewards: Certainly, more generous than the last quest system.
You get about twice as much XP from this system as the last system (XP isn't worth a whole lot, but you'll earn a non-duplicate Standard pack for leveling up to 10th, 20th, 30th... level a little faster than you would otherwise.. those things are very valuable, altho it's harder for a new/intermediate player to cash in on that value than a veteran player).
You get about 30 crystals a week under the new system, compared to about 20 under the old system.
1 jewel per day has earned a little ire from some corners of the player base, but I don't mind it, it's certainly better than 0 jewels per day, and 7 a week is comparable to a Fblthp event, or the progression ladder of most coalition events.
Runes... I don't really pay attention to, sorry, as a veteran player I don't need to, so you'd have to ask someone newer to the game about that ^_^
However... despite the new quest system being more generous than the last quest system, it does not make up for what we lost when they cut the daily reward calendar down to 21 days.

The daily reward's get increased with a patch (https://forums.d3go.com/discussion/91852/patch-notes-7-2-0-104589#latest) not too long ago. I dont know if it's comparable to the old system or not, but it was increased.

This is true... let's take a closer look.

So we've lost 2 boosters, and 60 crystals here.
What have we gained from the new quest system? About 10 crystals a week (call it 40 a month), 1 jewel a day (call it 30 a month). The new quest system gives you a booster from the latest set every week, whereas the old quest system tended to give you boosters from older sets, if at all...
Things get muddy and hard to quantify. My gut, tho, says that my initial analysis in my last post was probably a little harsh, and that the rewards you get from the (new quest system+new reward calendar) are comparable to the (old quest system+old reward calendar), rather than being strictly worse.

It does feel like the tribal objectives can be a bit, but throwing a bunch of them in a deck with Another Round (within any partial-white walker) can get to it within a few battles, even if not a loop. And after a while, whatever battle you are facing, eventually Another Round is a win-condition (unless you face stuff like Authority of the Consuls or Thallia+Gitrog).

I always skip the "play 4 story mode levels". Like you said, I don't want to waste my time playing 4 matches for just 2 crystals.
