Dear Devs get 4 corner fortified tiles is not fun It’s really annoying

This is the worst Puzzle Gauntlet. It’s not fun it’s a Pain in the **** to do.

Same goes for the make a column of strike tiles with Daken and Mantis.

Puzzle Gauntlet is just a really complicated thing for them to design. Right now, the fights are either way too easy (almost one entire gauntlet is just "do you have Polaris -- ok, you win!") or way too random.

But also, some of the essential characters seem to be chosen at random, and Ascension actually creates big problems for a few of the fights (the ones where you lose if you kill the enemy before you do whatever thing).

I don't know what the right fix is for this. I suppose folks would like them to be more like the trivial ones and less like the random ones. I wish there was a way to make interesting fights that weren't totally random.

I got that one ONCE, when Prowler spawned his tiles in both bottom corners, pure luck

Imo they did a pretty good job with Quantum Daddy puzzles for anniversary

Are you talking about Quandary? Everybody HATED that!

(I didn't think it was that bad, but some of them were annoying and it was pretty repetitive. Also, seriously everyone else hated that thing.)

I agree this one is really annoying but...I sort of like it?

I saw the Reddit post too and replied...

A Puzzle Ops refresh is on our post-Unity bucket list once we start to tackle refreshing our PVEs so this will definitely be on our radar to fix.

Good this is the only PG one that is really annoying/hard I don’t mind the others

I liked Quandary too. Apart from the colour shift one.

EB with the sweeping generalizations again…

Yes it was polarizing. But plenty of people have publicly shared they enjoyed it, myself included.

It was slightly more mixed than I remember, but overall very, very negative.

I actually found the one requiring four corner attack tiles to be more difficult, especially with Morbius constantly eating them - I went through a bunch of health packs before I was successful. Although I do acknowledge that it could be partially my own fault in choosing a lame team for the task, but whatever.

As for the Quandary missions, I didn't think they were as bad as some folks griped about. Yes, the color switching one was way beyond annoying, and the one with the poem was too easy once you memorized the pattern, but I enjoyed them more than most of the Puzzle Gauntlet missions (particularly the ones where none of the featured characters would be of any help).

None of the challenges are that difficult if you can use your roster. It's the ones with specials requirements where they only give us one character to use that can kinda sorta do it.

I jokingly call him/her/misc Quantum Daddy
And imo the puzzles were far better than what puzzle gauntlet has to offer. At least these had an idea behind it, even if some of them were annoying
Better than „Get tiles in all 4 corners, no plan how but get s*** done while the ai tickles your pickle“

This is the most annoying puzzle gauntlet.

Usually I just used Karnak and got it after a few attempts.

Well I ascended Karnak and now I’m boned. Silk has a chance so maybe? Good thing I didn’t ascend her yet.

I remember how to do that "get fortified tiles on all 4 corners" one.

Your best bet is with 3* Storm but it's gonna take quite a while. If you have her champed, go 3/5/5, max out yellow and black powers so you get the most tiles with them. Also I suggest boost your yellow+black AP pools as much as you can beforehand.

Chase yellow and black as much as you can, green don't worry too much about it because the key to success is in filling the entire board with attack tiles so that the enemy Prowler steals and fortifies them. Grab enough yellow and black AP to cast both yellow/black powers consecutively. At level 5 Storm's black gives 32 attack tiles so by casting it twice, you should in theory fill the entire board with attack tiles. Though, you might want to use her yellow to take out undesired teamup tiles before that.

So, get enough yellow and black AP, and wait your moment and then use yellow until you get all corners free of teamup tiles and then black twice after that.

Even then it might take a while for Prowler to actually fortify the 4 corner attack tiles, but this is the best you can do.

There's a better way but way more unreliable if you can ask your alliance to give you team assists from 2* and 3* Steve Rogers and hopefully you get a yellow power from Steve as a team assist. Then you just use that and cast the protect tiles on the 4 corners and it's done.

I think I have tried 30 times with Karnak, Silk, and everyone else allowed. Still no luck.

My Silk is lvl496 and she basically instakills that fight if I cast anything that makes web tiles. These fights don't work after ascension; they really needed to be updated when that happened.

I really only used Silk for the Daken/Mantis special node challenge and that was it. The others are better off with 3* Storm imho

My ascended Silk worked fine. But entrail's has 20-30 levels on mine.
