Sinister Trap tiles

When playing PVP and fighting Sinister, if you trigger Sinister's Trap tiles (pink "Sinister's Secrets", the Black banner for "Original Sinister" comes across the screen.
So is it triggering the wrong banner is my question/concern.
Because when playing, it seems that i hit the trap and the wrong power activates.
