Character Effects setting

I'd really love it if the character effects checkbox could perhaps be moved to the characters/covers to be applied per character?

I used to have all the effects turned on, and then use of characters like Polaris was such a time suck with the animation playing every time her auto power fires, I turned them off. I'd love to have them back on again, but if the animations for that particular character get annoying, uncheck the box on them (could be in the screen where you upgrade?)
