Interaction of "Ao, the Dawn Sky" with "Phyrexian Supremacy" [Investigating]

During the event "Of Machine And Freedom" I witnessed an interaction between "Ao, the Dawn Sky" and the event support "Phyrexian Supremacy", which I think is not wanted.

Ao was destroyed by me with "Void Rend" so that its effect when dying triggered and moved another creature into play. This triggered the event support adding +1/+1 to the first creature, which was the already "dead" Ao, which survived because of this.
