Some icons not loading or staying loaded on new windows 11 laptop

I recently got a new Lenovo Windows 11 laptop and one of the first games I installed was MPQ as that was part of why I got it, however when I go to play the game, icons are not loading properly, sometimes on roll over they'll show, but otherwise they're not. I've played MPQ on my old laptop (upgraded to Windows 11) and my desktop (upgraded to Windows 11), and not had this issue.

I ran updates and went to install directx9.0c as recommended, but that didn't solve it.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?
