RESOLVED: Alliance chat not working since update

Headline says it all. On the Alliance chat page, nothing happens when I type. I can scroll, read message, send team-ups, but can't type anything.
UPDATE: Uninstalling, reinstalling and restoring the app fixed the issue, though typing all takes place at the bottom of the screen now even though the text bar is still where it used to be.
