How to find and join the best alliances?

I'm not looking for the t10 alliances or anything like that.

I'm trying to join one of those random alliances where someone is handing out massive amounts of cp all the time!!!

Some of my buddies have joined those, but it has eluded me so far. I'll gladly join an alliance with poor placement and low iso login rewards if it provides lots of cp.

Is there an easy way to find such an alliance? Just join various public alliances until you hit the jackpot?
