1.5 Update - Game Not Starting, Black Screen

Today we identified an issue that was causing some users who updated the game to version 1.5 to be met with a black screen and left unable to progress.
This issue was limited to users who had been playing since the earliest versions of the game as the cause had to do with an issue with save files initially generated in those early versions of the game.
Tonight, we identified the cause of the issue and have released a server-side fix that should have addressed the issue for most users. If the issue has not already been addressed, please force quit and restart the game and you should be able to continue playing as normal.
We will continue to monitor the issue over the next few days. If you are still encountering the issue after reading this and attempting to restart the app, please send an email to mobilesupport@d3p.us with the following information...

Regarding the fix above, we found that there was an edge case with users that had only reached a certain point in the "Because it Glows" mission in their initial install and had updated to 1.5. These users were still getting the black / grey screen despite the fix listed above.
This issue was corrected last night and the should should have propagated completely by now.
