I find Multiple Man pretty confusing to use - is this an ascended one who is being referred to?No, his passive win gets harder to pull off when ascended as the threshold goes up. He creates MM tiles every time he fires his yellow proportional to how much ap you have on the color you choose. Once there are enough MM tiles on the board you auto win.
So the strategy is use ascended coulson and MM, ap boosts, and supports with a high chance of granting you extra ap. Turn 1 fire mm yellow on every color. You'll hand a ton of countdown tiles and mm tiles.
Make a match. Once it's your turn again after all the cd tiles go off you'll have a ton of ap and 1 or 2 firings of mm yellow will insta win.
It also doesn't matter if the enemy is invisible or away so leap frog is irrelevant.
Turn 1 fire mm yellow
Oh right, I don't have an ascended Coulson but he is on my list. I still don't understand his powers but that is on me.
TLDR:
- Black: Every time you get hit make MM tiles. Each tile gives you 1% damage buff and defense (these aim for enemy SAPs)
- Yellow: Drain AP in any color to make tiles in that color. Each color MM tile does something different, SAP tiles, heal tiles and random damage
- Green: Destroy some of your MM tiles for true heals

Allow me to add in a key point or two here, some that are quite important (beyond the "you win" mechanic for having 34+ dupes on the board)...
Being able to basically make 1-to-1, AP for dupes, based on his yellow power, and assuming you bring in all the AP supports and boosts you can, you're basically giving MM 1% extra defense per dupe. And seeing how you KNOW you're gonna get hit on the first enemy turn, if for some reason your MM gets hit, he has a MUCH higher chance of surviving it now, because you're probably walking in with close to 20%, if not more, defense on him.
Add in the fact that dupes cannot be match 3'd away... they HAVE to be destroyed by being a PART of a match 4 (not one of the collateral damage tiles in the same row/column as a match 4), or through other means (i.e. MThor as an example). Since they are harder to destroy, your opponent's first turn has a LOT LESS chance of cascading, gaining AP, or much else worthwhile.
TL;DR -- your MM gains a good defense boost, and clogs the board with hard-to-kill tiles, just by spamming that yellow, making it much harder for the cpu to counteract on their first couple turns.

I've noticed, since I ascended him, I go for the board domination win less than I just win by playing around his tiles. Part of why I love him though is you can play him multiple ways.
Example, all of his MM SAPs are affected by all buffs (that I've tested, I think). So, if you start with Blue AP and create MM protect tiles, then partner him with Agatha3, she will immediately be ready to buff his tiles. Team up with Chasm and on turn one you've doubled your protect tiles from his self damage. This works great against tick and team damage.
He is a super fun versatile character, and perhaps the only one who can drain all of the enemy teams starting AP on turn 1? Shutting down "starts with AP" supports out the gate and letting you capitalize.

The last post here was in may?! No. I won’t accept that. Let’s go guys.
4As5 Mr Fantastic (The Maker) 4/5/4
5* Miles Morales (Carnage Symbiote) 5/3/5 w/ time stone support lvl 3
4AS5 Silk 3/5/5 w/ totem dagger support lvl 5Point of this team has become getting out a bunch of attack tiles out and the firing The Maker’s black to absorb them all into one HUGE fortified attack tile while also making his Progress match damage exponentially big as well.
- fire Miles’ green
- Fire Silk’s blue (choose attack tile)
- Fire The Maker’s black
- Profit
You need The Maker ascended and with a high level so he tanks. There is a
Is a lot of synergy with miles and silk especially if silk is ascended as she can deal good passive damage by destroying web tiles.4 -

Definitely no ascended silk here (I imagine that’s a very small pool of players).
For my attack tile team I settled on 3a4 Vamp Jubilee (32% attack tile buff per turn - 35% with 5 in black if you think that’s worth it…),maker (mine isn’t ascended) and 4*Carnage.
Carnage pumps out shed loads of attacks each turn which you can then swallow up with makers black.Yours is probably objectively better, because you’ve got Maker ascended, so he’s going to get an absolute heap of ‘Progress’ pretty quickly, but would be interested to see how these 3 on your roster play out in comparison. Have a test and let us know??

I made a quick short regarding his "Progress" when I baby champed him... used him with two other 4s to see what we could do with a freshly-13 Maker.
Just to be clear, I used supports on 4* Torch Annihilus and 4* Doom, so that I could start with as many attacks as possible, then a support on Maker, so that his black was ready to go.
If you wanted to see it for yourself, here it is -- https://youtube.com/shorts/dtSYwpCLIGw?feature=share
Cool to see someone using a 4A5 Maker out in the wild, though!

He's really fun.
He's a little bit slow for me, but with CL10 ramping up to super big enemy health, there's a place for characters like this again. After a few turns things really get out of hand, and they can scale massively.
I think there's a Turbo Progress team that uses Hobgoblin to set off the repeater tile over and over again, but I'm not sure who the 3rd is.

Maybe Toni?

Maybe Toni?Maybe! You need someone who can make blue AP though, which usually means Hawkeye or Kang, but then you run into other issues. I'm pretty sure there's a way to crack it with supports, but I haven't tested it in awhile.

I do have a 3As4 Jubilee. I didn’t even think about using her with Maker. I’ll try it.

Ok, so for challenge nodes on CL10 I’ve found this to be effective:
Golden Oldie w refreshment cart, Kang5 w Space Stone (not that critical), Carol4 w Eros (for added survivability). The more blue and yellow AP you are able to start with the better, as you’ll need 7 blue and 5 yellow to start the process
This is all centred around using Golden Oldie’s Blue power to insta-kill the toons with stacked HP.
Fire ‘Herald’ then reduce the countdown to 0 with Carols yellow. Eros should help keep you alive for a few turns whilst you build up the necessary AP again.
Kang helps fuel blue from CDs expiring. Refreshment cart creates the CDs, and fuels yellow each time a power is fired.
The cart CDs also create SAPs when they expire, which get buffed by Carol constantly, so this can aid survivability if you get some protects.
Note: Golden Oldie normally saps your yellow to reduce CD timers. Kang counters this, and restores the drained AP. But you still get the bonus of shorter CDs (probably on Cart CDs).Edit: A further note, that if you send someone airborne with Space Stone when you match 5 or more, the Herald CD will still insta-kill them even whilst they are airborne (if you were able to target them with it before they went airborne)

Is Kang just here to create blue? Probably Hawkeye would be better, no?

I see; I tried it a few ways on Let’s HAMMER this out, the Kingpin/Goblin/Hood challenge node, but I wasn’t getting past clear 2 before it was wiping out. My may is 471, kang is 486, and ascended carol is 466 for reference.

Yeah, it can be a bit rough if you don't use boosts, as unless the Eros falls on the correct character you can take a lot of match damage very quickly! Space stone helps a bit with survivability by sending problematic targets airborne if you get a good board. My suggestion would be that you're better of retreating if Eros lands on the wrong character at the start.
FYI my May is 467, Kang 500, Carol not even ascended yet at 350. Managed to do my 2nd and 3rd clears on 'Let’s HAMMER this out' without too much difficulty, but appreciate there is some luck involved.
As soon as you're able to down 1 character Eros becomes a lot more reliable at damage reduction.0 -
You know what, I was actually using different supports than these, so that was likely a big part of it. Either way, I got that node done, but I find Hawkeye/coulson/kang a more reliable way to fling them off the map usually.

So I’ve been trying out…..
The Maker 4/5/4
4As5 Carnage 5/3/5
3As4 Jubilee 3/5/5It works but it has less control than the team I listed above. With this team, the attack tile damage gets out of control and fast. But now I’m (desperately?) chasing black and purple for The Maker so that I can keep the team from taking so much attack tile damage. And because of that, the team feels more hit and miss than on my team of Maker/5Miles/Silk because that team can still do damage passively by destroying web tiles and the resulting cascades. With jubilee and carnage, it’s pretty much attack tile damage until you can get enough black and purple.
I like the team feel tho. I kinda wonder how much Reed is needed on the team. Carnage and jubilee do the heavy lifting more often than not.

This isn't meta-fast at all... but hey, it's all in the name of "fun"...
I was tooling around with Silver Sable, and that black is just TOO juicy to not try to abuse. Besides, her yellow and purple aren't that tempting, IMO. Getting 5 black to start with it is as easy as equipping a good black AP support, and boosts if needed. Her newly created CD can be triggered by damaging the enemy or by removing enemy special tiles... so, for this, I chose Red Skull with Tinkerer (rank 5), although Ebony Maw and boosts would work. Red Skull was chosen for TWO reasons -- he overwrites enemy tiles one at a time, easy, which isn't even counting your own matches against them, or if its an enemy team that doesnt have special tiles, damage is still well within Red Skull's playbook with his cheap red. Either way -- you're gonna get that sweet set of 6 purple and 6 yellow AP from Silver Sable's CD.
So, how are we gonna abuse that sweet free AP? Enter SUNSPOT. I personally like to use a SP/DR on him, or Black Widow Batons (both rank 5)... and the other support gets put on S.Sable.
With those supports, I can cast Sable's black to start, choose "damage" if I wanted to, and start casting Sunspot's purple/yellow abilities (which trigger his red passive - MORE damage towards Sable's CD). Now you got all of these traps out there, and if YOU match them, they MULTIPLY AND give you more AP. The enemy is gonna be swamped with traps quickly. This will make Sable's damage-based CD trigger quickly (if that's the trigger you chose)... feeding you MORE purple and yellow. Only a couple turns in, and the board is a minefield in your name.
There's probably more efficiencies to be made, but this is what I've been messing around with so far. I could probably use Sinister for more black AP traps... but I dont wanna waste the black AP on his passive, since that's the color helping me to generate all the purple/yellow. Feel free to add-on somehow if you'd like -- again, this is just me having fun with Sable's AP generation.

I used Maker, Carnage, Red Skull a few times in PvE recently to great effect. Red Skull seemed to remove Carnage's enemy strikes. Not sure I'm brave enough to try this in PvP to confirm that Skull works the way I think he does. Will have to wait for an appropriate PvE to test it again.
