A bunch of buffs happened

I think with some of these buffs, 5Sunspot might get a second look. His passive when Moonstone or HE (or anyone) match their purple could be huge at 550. Just not sure if anyone has him at 550 yet to know what his passive damage does. And I'm too lazy to look it up on the forum (if his numbers were listed).I was coming back to say exactly this. I paired my 266 HE with 542 Sunspot & 1a4 Storm on SCL10 hard nodes (except with Strange) & worked great. Still no supports on them since I'm just to lazy to move them & no AP boost, but as soon as you have the purple AP for HE you've already won.

I thought HE isn't entirely reliable since you need to always have a purple match available, but it's more consistent than I expected when I tried it. Throw in someone like 3 or 5 Storm for extra utility on green & yellow & it keeps rolling.I only have a 1a3 HE at 266 & dupe at 255, but tested on all the DDQ nodes I could & even without boosts/supports it worked well. Once I could fire purple I rarely had to give the other team a turn.
I'm using 550 Hawkeye boosted to 672 with soul stone support which returns 5 ap in your strongest color every time you down an enemy, which is purple in this case. Then iron may with quantum realm and Falcon with widow batons and then also ap boosts. Most matches I'm starting with 16 purple ap.
It's extremely reliable. The only issue is the very rare occasion where both ap supports fail to fire.
I never bothered leveling my stones so my Soul doesn't have that rank unlocked, but I put the power stone on him for the chance to get an extra purple AP with every match. Low chance since it's R3, but still helped a lot since you're firing purple all the time. May average out the same as 10 purple in 3v3 with Soul Stone.
I threw QR & Batons on the other two (Sunspot & 1a4 Storm) for the CN. Easily won first turn. Extra damage from Sunspot helped speed things up, and 1a4 Storm destroys 26 tiles with her green & her yellow triggers the Sunspot passive, too. One thing that gets annoying sometimes is his purple can't be placed on a TU, but Storm's yellow clears those out anyway. Storm & HE seems to be a very strong pair to support each other.

Even w/o the Soul stone, the revised 1HE is a machine. Played 100 matches. Terrible boards, supports let me down, didn't matter. Can't miss.
I haven't tried yet, but is he slow against enemies with high health? Are you doing anything to ramp up the damage?
I wouldn't say so. Sure, you can pile on dmg boosts in his colors a/o for crit, pile on Iron May, and sure, these can save shots needed vs high-level nodes. I wouldn't say it takes him from slow to fast, more like from fast enough to faster still

I don't think there's a way 1HE stays this way. Maybe it is just because he's boosted, in both my PVP and PVE clears today the other team never got a turn. I ran Onslaught with Quantum Realm(5), either May or Namor with Black Widow's Batons(5), and HE (550) with Soul Stone (5).
Namor is nice since you also can do the critical with his black. The only teams in PVP that were long slogs were those with ascended Juggernaut. __

Moonstone is preposterous.Bring widow batons + quantum realm + soul stone and you're essentially doing 370k AoE turn0.
Plus you get a one-tile board destruction per cast, so with a tiny bit of luck you can do a mini Shang-Chi thing and cascade into another purple match (just in case anything survives the nearly 400k AoE damage).
Unboosted, at 550, her purple damage is 144k, which is still enough to oneshot almost anybody else who's unboosted. Get ready for Moonstone Puzzle Quest!
Jeez, that's gonna give me flashbacks. I wiped against Moonstone so much back when I was a 1-2 player.
And we couldn't turn off the animations back then.. she looked good killing us

I played with Moonstone in PvP for the Falcon event. I only saw a few other Moonstones but tons of Hawkeyes!
When she's boosted, you can get by pretty easily with 3 purple. That gives you the ability to still sometimes oneshot some of the guys who make tiles turn0. Some of the ones I saw: 3* Namor, Beta Ray Bill, anybody with low level AI. Most players don't bother using the boosted characters so 3 purple is plenty of damage -- 5 would've been way overkill.
Most of my fights were over turn0.
Moonstone herself has like 450k HP at 550, so I had to switch to 5 purple to fight her. I didn't see Moonstone paired with a turn0 tile creator.
A couple Hawkeye teams were able to beat me (I was running 672 Moonstone with 672 Peggy Thor and 660 Falcon) but they were pretty slow. The ones who won were Hawkeye/Iron May.

Just got Moonstone to 550. Opened about 1200 DDQ tokens to get a bunch of 2*s and then exchanged them to Moonstone. Was it worth it? Not sure but it was fun to do and I now have a complete one/two character nuke when needed.

I would suggest the potential attackers were picking on those with smaller health pools

I wasn't in s2 ....... was in s1 this time. Took down plenty of "peers" running maxed 1>5s, 2>5s, and with 3>5 falcons.
Revised 1HE is like the son of a bazooka and a recoilles rifle with an endless ammo belt.
Playing w/Sunspot in Skull PvP because I do like the idea of his kit, but wishing I could shoehorn Iron May in there LOL

I do like that they seem to be coming up with some above average but not OP characters lately. On paper some of them look meh but they seem to match up well with each other. I have a lot of CP and LLs stored up and might just try to get BZ/SS/RS to 550 before they all leave. It's just more fun to open tokens than to hoard, at least IMHO.

I see the oneupsmanship in our boosterism. It's also possible to ... now, don't spread this around or anything ... it's possible to run both. No, really. Crazy, I know. If one gets stumped, the other can come through. If one eats a nuke, the other can recover. Maybe. Usually? Moonstone red is a nice option on that color.
I finally lost a match LOL ......... terrible board, combined supports fail, against an IM46/MBW locked and ready to fire. Was running 1HE w/Sunspot. And half-built Red Skull. Whoopsie!

I just played 25 PvP matches with my 672 HE. The AI got to move twice.
This game is so stupid.

She actually works great with him, good call!
Her two weaknesses are enemy special tiles and running out of purple before everybody is dead, and he solves both with his red power and passive. I ran him 3/5/5 and it worked really well.

(Not sure which is which or if it's you and me, just going with it)

Another point of the partnership ............. Moon can dissolve a 4Juggs, HE can't. He's weak vs match dmg resistance.

It's too bad we didn't have him when Leapfrog was still a thing -- he'd have been great at blasting those stupid invisibility tiles.
I feel like there's something truly degenerate he can be doing in a combo but I can't quite figure it out yet. The AP generation is too good -- both of his powers are basically free. Is there someone who makes AP when someone else casts a power? Or maybe someone who can convert board destruction into AP? Beta Ray Bill came to mind but he's not the right colors.

If they are beefy, this will do away with them very fast (always less than a minute for me?)
Hawkeye1 - Refresh Cart
Kang5 - any starting pink support
Anyone else - any starting pink support- Use Hawk pink on 2 or more pink. This will generate more pink, red and create countdowns.
- Doing step 1 twice will give enough to throw his red. Use his red to destroy your countdown tiles, because of Kang, this gives you blue.
- Use Hawk to get enough blue to send the highest health away.
- Use your remaining pink, black or blue from Kang to kill the final character (pink will do a ton of damage thanks to the remaining Cart countdowns).
If they aren't tanky, there are many choices that are fast (anyone with high match damage or a nuke).
- Baku4-5
- Juggy4-5
- XForce4-5
- Namor3-5
- Onslaught5 is lovely since he is one of the only muts that starts pink with Krakoa and loves combos
I am at least a little surprised they surpassed Moonstone4s infinite already.

Look I can appreciate the criticism of players putting everything in the Polaris basket and then crying when nerfed but 2* Moonstone? How are we supposed to know that 2* Moonstone is going to suddenly become a goddess?!? These buffs are going to end up just as inconsistent as the nerfs!

Moonstone was a tank. Her red could easily one shot your best 3* at the time. Can't remember how many times I lost to the enemy moonstone. The only thing funny is how switched her play has changed from when you first start using her. In her original role, you were playing for the red nuke and the warp was a hard to play gadget move.
Now your playing the purple nuke to start and use the red as knockout for SAP generators. Different but still plays the same way as before.
