Casting Oktagon's failures onto Webcore?
"Toxic Positivity"?Sarah, if you wanted to post again after you left so abruptly, you didn't have to make a new profile.
Not sure what gave you that idea?
As you say, you’ve built a reputation for tone policing. I find your enforced optimism as troll-like as you find other people’s cynicism.

That's... not a denial?
It's also not a large logical leap. Someone that just started posting in July referencing a fairly trivial rare card from 33 sets ago? Breaking out a phrase that is pretty much only used by one specific user? If you are not Sarah, I give you a ton of credit for effectively cloning her online persona. Why are you allowed to make inferences on what someone would do based on others' actions (Webcore vs Oktagon), but not me (your postings vis-a-vis Sarah's)?
Sure, I'll take the tone police reputation, though I wouldn't characterize my feelings toward this game as "enforced optimism" so much as "don't pre-judge, base on their actions". On that token, what did you reason to gain from posting obscure, non-productive snark - again, not based on what Webcore had done, but on what a previous developer did?

Would you actually accept a denial? @TheDude1
Is it really that unlikely that a player wouldn’t join the forum immediately? It has a reputation for tolerating bullying.
Is it reasonable to assume that all negative comments must come from Sarah and her supposed army of sock puppets? Everyone else is satisfied with the state of the game? Are the commenters on the “Bah humbug” post all Sarah’s alts?
For someone who scolds others for making negative assumptions, you seem to make a lot of negative assumptions yourself. Seems like projection TBH. What is your end-game here? What satisfaction do you get from constantly criticizing people on this forum?

Yes. For the record, are you Sarah, or just a very effective mimic? Or are you going to gish-gallop past this direct question too, as you did above?
Is it really that unlikely that a player wouldn’t join the forum immediately?
A new-ish player that somehow also knows a random card from 33 sets ago, is too shy to stand up to bullying yet is confident enough to passive-aggressively post about it? Yes, I find that remarkably unlikely.

I didn't imply anyone else was a sockpuppet, and everyone is welcome to their opinion, as I am welcome to candidly disagree. I laid out my basis for inferring this one case - "Fenelope" and "Sarah" have a remarkable overlap in tone, style, word choice, and subject matter. And more importantly, I didn't say (if the same person) that the profile was changed it to intentionally deceive anyone, just that creating a new profile was unnecessary since it was a personal choice to abruptly leave; the profile wasn't banned.
Also, for the (anonymous) user who decided my posts were worthy of a flag, would be happy to understand the basis these posts have violated.

You can still tag me @TheDude1
just because I have chosen to stop commenting doesn't mean that I've stopped checking the sneak peeks and catching up on the latest gossip; I usually pop in for a look on Wednesdays and Saturdays. How many of my alts do you think you have found on the post about Lorwyn 5?

I do feel the need to let you know that I have a boyfriend and, even if I didn't, I find your behavior here deeply weird. Maybe you need a hobby?

Hi @Sarah. My apologies, when you last posted you invoked a beloved player's passing to say you wouldn't return, so I took that as a pretty serious indication you were going to get your information elsewhere rather than just change your mind and lurk.
How many of my alts do you think you have found on the post about Lorwyn 5?
I didn't see Fenelope post there so no one I thought overlapped your very distinctive style. Although I am suspicious of this one poster, TheDude1 - they posted something negative about the event, which is so unlike someone with such toxic positivity. Perhaps that account is compromised?
I do feel the need to let you know that I have a boyfriend and, even if I didn't, I find your behavior here deeply weird. Maybe you need a hobby?
Weird, I don't recall asking anything about personal matters, so not following the relevancy of your relationship status to my discussion with someone else on the content of their (independent?) posts.

Weird, I don't recall asking anything about personal matters
No, perhaps not @TheDude1 But you do come across as a little obsessed with me. Do the kids still say stan? I don't know.
As absurdly amusing as this little interaction has been, I suppose I should go and flag the rest of your unhinged and creepy accusations. Hopefully there aren't too many!

@Machine Unfortunately I don't think there's any more to see here. Since Fenelope would rather throw out a bunch of non-sequiturs to a direct question, and Sarah has unilaterally decided that any direct confrontation is both "bullying" (I guess I should have led with "I feel like...?") and "obsession", there really isn't any more substance to be had. So it's up to you to decide whether the non-denial denials above are sufficient on which way to believe.

@TheDude1 @Sarah @fenelope - I'm one of the Mods on the MPQ forum but have picked up the flags on this. I don't know the background to any of this, so I'm going to be as objective as I can be, based on reading the thread.
Tossing around accusatory remarks is not helpful @TheDude1. If you don't like the content of people's posts, then disagree by all means but do so respectfully. If you think someone is acting in bad faith, raise it by flagging the post. Dragging other posters into your arguments is not right, whether you believe they still visit the site or not.
@fenelope - similarly, disagree with people's opinions as much as you like, but phrases like "toxic positivity" are always going to get negative reactions. It seemed unnecessary and a way to be snarky rather than add anything to your comments.
@Sarah - I understand your frustrations here and if you are being repeatedly targeted, please flag the posts and either I, or hopefully someone else, will pick this up. What isn't helpful is escalating conflict by name-calling. Use the "ignore" function if you have to.
Fundamentally, this forum is supposed to be a community of people who enjoy playing the same game. Yes, you can have different takes on game mechanics and like/dislike different things and express that. But please don't drag down the forum with your personal arguments - it's not a good look for anyone and ruins the enjoyment for others. Apart from @Machine obviously....
