I have been asking for Galactus for a longtime, I just hope he is not exclusively tied to season pvp placement. It is highly unlikely but I would not put it past the devs.

Anyone else disappointed by his kit?

I can't even see his kit.

His Blue passive is good (can't be stunned or sent airborne. can't be damaged for more than 32982 in 1 turn and creates 1 cosmic tile per 4K damage taken).

The other 2 powers are kinda meh. The passive on the Black (The Power Cosmic) is especially disappointing. It should have been "Whenever you make a match 4 or greater Galactus halves the current enemies health. If that enemy is a 3 star or below they are instead downed". For 3 covers the 'enemy downed' part would go to 4 star or below and for 5 covers it would be 5 star or below. THAT would be 'The Power Cosmic' and what I expected 6 stars to be.

If he can be sent Away, then Kang/Darkveil are definitely getting nerfed.

    Death: 1. Thanos 2. Hela

Bast: 1. Black Panther 2. Okoye

    Beyonder: 1. Doom 2. Kang

    Captain Universe: 1. Spider-Man 2. Spider-Man

nah thats overpowered asf, he can already tank and heal all damage done to him, mind you from a max of 32982 done with only 7 blue AP, MIND YOU tha he can easily obtain through his other passives and nullify power users in general, this is a puzzle game not a death battle lol

It looks like rank 6 supports are coming soon too.
If you go to the supports filter there is now a ****** option.

I think this is a bloopper, especially when you look at the layout under supports.

But hey, I am all in for 80-100% chance of AP at start of match! ;-)

I also really would like to know about the possibilty to whether or not we get to ascend 5*. Why cant they just reveal this know so we can plan our new pulled 5* covers from the vaults??

Feeling that Galactus' abilities are skewed defensive. Can't be stunned, can't be one shotted, taxes ability use. That's going to counter much of the current meta, continuing the pattern of providing answers rather than nerfs. There's just too many ways to turn 1 win at the moment that it's unsurprising they're not going to try to nerfs them all.

Feels like the "can't be one shotted" incoming damage cap might be a standard bit of 6*kit going forward. Or we may find that they fit a mold of pick 2 from: can't be one-shotted, can't be stunned, can't be sent away.

Unless I'm missing something it really reads like Galactus is imposing a minimum turn count of 4 and the long overdue answer to turn 1 wins. Characters in this image will create a new baseline so that one day they can introduce a character that allows turn 3 wins again, etc.

For the same reason we aren't told feeders in advance - they are trying to keep us off guard and stop those with near endless resources having guaranteed day 1 new shiny. Giving players "planning time" is the Devs worst nightmare, they want us to speculate and gamble as much as possible not bet on a sure thing.

Which is why I fully support spoiler culture and out of game players comms. Players always get to decide for themselves how they engage with the game. Devs are foolish and out of touch to think otherwise. Unless I'm asked directly and privately not to share information. I have no qualms or concerns with sharing openly as long as its done in a respectful cordial manner.

Totally agree with this. We need to see what his match damage looks like, though, and how the damage abilities scale. Defense without much offense just leads to an obnoxious metagame where everything takes forever (see Leapfrog, Colossus/SW, Chasm/Hulk etc). It looks like using other characters to kill Galactus will be slow, but hopefully Galactus can kill Galactus pretty quickly.

It also makes me wonder what other 6* will look like. Galactus seems to have quite a lot of his budget invested into those defensive abilities -- will the others be similar?

If I was running the game one of the first things I'd do is to start pushing down tons of fake spoilers to discredit the dataminers.

I'm honestly mystified that they haven't done this yet -- it just makes no sense at all. There's zero downside for them.

I remember them briefly doing this, there was code for bone claws wolverine and some other troll characters that were never actually planned to be in game that miners found. I don't know why they stopped doing it.

You can see his match damage at the link I provided (4th screen).
    Yellow - 183
    Red - 168
    Blue - 1569
    Purple - 1395
    Green - 195
    Black - 1221
    TU - 789
I presume those are roughly in line with what L500 characters have for match damage (in other words there is no special 6 star match damage).

He won't be doing anything special match damage wise and even if he was, even Galactus on Galactus is limited by the 32K max damage per turn.

The only way to kill him in < 4 turns will be Kang's all-away win condition (or Multiple Mans or other characters with unique abilities like 4 star Gamora insta-kill etc).

The best normal characters will be able to do is 1/4 health, let Galactus take a turn, repeat 3 more times. A characters like Shang (insane match damage, can true heal and use his Red to remove Galactus cosmic tiles) will be great because of his healing. But in a pinch you can use MThor (spam board shake to remove cosmic tiles and do 1/4 health damage) or any characters who fill the board with specials (Polaris) to deny cosmic tiles being made.

We don't know how it'll scale though, or (if the scaling factor is the same per level) how high he caps out.

Yes, I agree. Obnoxious metagame where everything takes forever is obnoxious.
