New support release!!! After putting a hold on new supports, were thrilled to announce our brand new latest and greatest support... The Ultimate Nullifier! This support prevents all aoe damage at rank1, prevents enemies from going airborne at rank 3, and turns off all enemy passives at rank 5.
Buy it today for just $199!!!

Hmmm and none of these 4* would stand a chance unless they were ascended to 5* land......

Angela at lvl 472, courtesy of Mr. bucket’s roster:
Yup! Of all of these Angela is actually pretty good, so I guess we’ll all be focussing her for ascension now?
The damage numbers don’t entirely scale well into 5 star land, so even then you need a booster partner and it doesn’t seem enough really…2 -

Contrary to some beliefs, Shaw can indeed deal with Franky even with Immortal Hulk on the field. My recent match, though far from an ideal set up, showcased this clearly. My Shaw was at critically low health (nowhere near level 550 either), and my team was hobbled from the start due to a lack of health packs, resulting in two almost immediate KOs.
Despite this handicap and facing a fully championed team with Hulk's gamma support, Shaw successfully eliminated Franky. This highlights that Franky isn't the main obstacle; the true difficulty with this team still stems from Hulk and Moondragon, a combo that has been around for ages.
While Agatha would usually provide valuable stun and AOE to deal with MD once Franky is out of the way, my solo Shaw run was specifically to prove his effectiveness against Franky.
I watched the video.
It took you 3 minutes to win and your entire team except Shaw died.
This is not a viable counter.

To be fair, his chasm might not have died if he hadn't brought him in to the fight when he was already about to die, or if he had managed to get some void tiles on the board so he could have revived.

Nova, meet Mr. Sebastian Shaw, you’re new and already irrelevant…….. Next! And hopefully it’s a counter to one of the metas. What a waste of a slot.He definitely made m'Thor irrelevant, I never see her anymore!
...right?
I always see her, and then she always see him…….

I ran Nova Hulk in the Psylocke event just now and stomped everything. Nobody was able to win against me, and a lot of folks tried. I think it's pretty strong on defense.

Clearly she is a viable teammate for many, but in my opinion, there aren't really any good defensive teams that don't have Chasm, there are too many ways to kill them before they get to do anything.
Noted in the counter meta topic (assuming she stays meta after the nerf), but here is Frank Hulk doing nothing for a min 30 before they die.

I guess we'll see! If everybody switches to running awful Multiple Man cheese teams in PvP that'd be great, because I can kill that team probably 5x as fast as they can kill me.

Battle of the cheese teams! Bring it on.
My dad can beat up your dad though.

The team you're using, with the setup you're using, could also have beaten the old pre-nerf Chasm/Hulk team. Does that mean that they weren't a problem?
PvP is not a boss fight for everyone, no matter how much you pretend it is, and it's not a single player game for everyone either. Getting one win is meaningless for serious players, especially if you have to do it with a team that's going to lose you hundreds of points on defense.
I'm very glad that your particular ultra casual play style allows you to not care about point loss, and to declare victory after one win, but not everyone plays that way. Try to have a tiny bit of empathy for others.

I'll gladly use that Multiple Man team in Sim. Feel free to destroy when you encounter!

In none of my previous posts did I downplay how good she is on offense, in fact, I agreed that she was. -VOID
Boss fight? Single player? What are you even going on about? You can call it casual all you want, I don't care how it's described. I am currently however less casual than 900 plus people in 9 place, un shielded, not taking hits (different game, I know).
Empathy for others? Because I am hitting their Frankie teams? Not sure where you're going with this one, but I did however enter this thread with the intention of helping people counter this team, so, all I can think of for this entire post is:
Rather than always "the sky is falling" maybe try using your vast roster to help (while also strategically noting what is overpowered). Have some empathy for us casuals.

You don't care about PvP defense and you play for wins.
I'm very glad that your super weak cheese team can grind out a handful of wins in several hours against actually strong players, but it's completely meaningless to those of us who bother to try. We are going to have to fight these teams hundreds of times, with teams that allow us to keep more than a few of our points.
Your posts are really helpful for other super casual and brand new players, though! Anyone who needs to figure out how to do two or three PvP wins in an hour or so can really benefit from your perspective. I'll pass on running Multiple Man or Darkveil while I'm grinding 100 wins to get placement.

Frankie is definitely not overpowered, in fact she's not even that good! Just bring 3* Deadpool with Black Widow Batons and Quantum Realm, plus 2 purple AP boosts, cast Megawhales, and you can win every fight before she even does anything!
See, she's actually awful and definitely doesn't need to be nerfed. Case closed.

Do we know for sure that she's susceptible to Megawhales? I'm not willing to take that chance!

Even as a defender of His Darkness, The Black King, I have to point out that saying he can "sometimes" OHKO her, a DAY after her release, isn't saying much.

I have an idea, what if you simply drain the enemy team's green AP instead? 3*She Hulk can drain 2 colors 100% for just 6 Green. That's easily doable on your first turn. Unfortunately, she won't take dmg until you get rid of the charged tiles. But this stops the initial problem.

Well this thread turned a bit hostile and weird. Let’s all go to the pub and have a nice cold pint until this blows over.

Yeah, I think we might need a category up from whales but what is there?!?! Maybe we could drop the Blob on her?
