Creature or support

In puzzle quest we have a few cards with creature subtypes, like Wizard or Rats. In the new set we have rat swarm that makes Rat Enchantments, know are these type of creature supports defined as supports or as creatures. As there is a few cards that synorgise with how many creatures on the board. And its unclear if suports with creatures subtypes are creatures if that's true then some cards don't respond to them and it's a bug, or are they classed as suports there for even with the creature subtype there not creatures
