Ascension bug?

I ascended a 2* Captain America and I have 2* Cap covers in my roster queue, but it will only allow me to add them as levels to the now ascended one. I still would like to have a 2* cap rostered. Will I not be allowed to roster a new one until I have maxed the ascended one?

    There’s a little star symbol next to the cover in your inbox. On the right. Select that, and then select to roster a new version. That should do it.
