It's not worth the effort to do Guardians quest for little rewards and puzzle ops for dupes.. I rather take a break than grind for little rewards

Would have been much better if all the quests were open at each stage.
Things like this make me wonder if the devs actually play this game.

Not sure they have time or will to play considering how many glitches we get these days

We don't know about BCS (maybe someone can ask in the Q&A), but Demiurge developers did all play the game. Only one or two ever reached the 5* tier. Most of them would reset their accounts once they started accumulating 4*, because they were focused on the user experience at lower tiers of the game.

Having gone through a bunch of the Tier 3 ones today, it's feeling like Puzzle Gauntlet V2. You have to be selective with your team choice to help quickly fire some of the powers. Using C&D for black to fire Yondu's power, TA Hulk for green for Rocket etc

Thankfully Puzzle Gauntlet exists as the large health pools and bonus color drops makes some of the quests a little easier.

Having seen the tier 2 and 3 lists I already decided to not bother. It's borderline return of tapping to get that done and not remotely fun or interesting.

Might not have felt so grindy if they had opened up all the 100 match ones together at the start or had them retrospective from the start. Grinding 100 red, then blue then Yellow and so on really doesn't inspire me to play the game that way.

I suspect that 4* players will complete these WAY easier than 5* players simply because Grocket/Polaris is used so much in PvE etc. I'm already a long way through the tier 1 'make 100 matches in X color' quests for example.

    KGB

That literally makes no sense,do you think 5 star players just discard their 4 stars?

4* players are going to be using Rocket and Groot/Polaris in pve. 5* players will be more likely to use Hulkoye, Shang/America or BRB/Polaris.

@Punter1 I've been using Jane Thor, 5* Storm (3/5/5) plus the GOTG character that a mission is for. It really only sucked for 4* Star Lord because he was tanking purple.

I do hope there's some Guardian PVPs lined up (wouldn't the what's new thread be great...).
Otherwise the deal 6 million damage quest will require a lot of people Climbing with Starlord in PVP, bless them.

After grinding away at the same puzzle nodes all weekend I finally managed to finish tier 1, and rushed to the oh-so-special vault with my shiny new hard won token. What did I get? That's right...the useless 3* costume 🤬😭

Tier 2 looks ever so slightly easier (more tasks running parallel) so will struggle with it a bit more. I really need all the iso I can scrape together and any non-costume option from the vault would make me very happy, especially the 5* stuff.

I really hope there will be other ways to earn more tokens to that vault. I don't have the specific 5* powers, so I won't be able to complete tier 4, and I really don't want more costumes but knowing my luck that's probably all I'd get if I were able to complete tier 2 and 3.
Fingers crossed that they'll run special events with those tokens as rewards. The vault is open for like 20 days, and the milestone quests are only 12 days... it would be nice if such info would be included in that promised Gotg schedule yet to appear.

Tier 2 did not have to be gated behind Tier 1, all colours should have been available at the start so the match tile quests can be done together with the use power ones. I really hope that the reason they made the requirements so high is because they released it early and didn't want people to finish it in a few days and get bored.

I'm still hopeful that there will be special events released next week when the movie premieres to make these more achievable. Otherwise they really should consider slashing the numbers in half after one week so most people can catch up.

Tier 2 is quick, but wait till you hit tier 3.

It would be nice if Lightning Rounds were running right now.

Tier 1 is 15 vs missions Tier 2 is 25 and Tier 3 is 30.

You can just retreat, you don't have to win these fights.

So, I consider myself a high-end player (not top-tier, not bragging - just saying I got the roster to "easily" do this).

I was down with the flu the weekend so I grinded the quests.

    I tracked my time.

It took me about 13 hours non-stop gameplay to finish about 80% of all 4 tiers. It is agonizingly slow. I however need the ISO desperately, and it was dangles in front of my face...

But as mentioned a few times: The quest conditions should stack, all at once. No reason to do multiple "do 100x of $color/$power/$matches". And if we didnt have gauntlet running in parallel, even grinding all of pve it would be nearly impossible to finish the quests in time. If the devs played the game they would see doing 100x of a coloured match actually takes like 30-40 minutes. The numbers may look good on technical paper, but in reality this is too painful.

The quests themselves are cool to have, don't get me wrong. Please choose the time requirements more realistic, and make the quests fit the given pve/boss/pvp schedule. Thanks!

You know we have almost 2 weeks to complete the quests. I'm still on tier 1 and not worried that I won't get there with regular play (albeit using specific characters as required that I wouldn't normally use)

Grinding an extra 13+ hrs just to complete these quests for 100K ISO seems insane to me. You can buy 80K ISO for $99 bucks. You (most of us really) might consider that an insane purchase but if you grind an extra 13 hrs just for these quests then you're valuing your time at 80/13=$6.15 an hour. Surely you make more than that at your job or you can make better use of 13 hrs of spare time than grinding 100K ISO.

I highly doubt you'll finish Tier 4 through regular play. It might be possible if the quests weren't locked behind each other. If you could tackle "Make 100 Yellow matches with a Guardian on your team" at the same time as "Make 100 Red matches...", but you can't. In my opinion, you're underestimating how long these take without grinding the puzzle nodes.

Absolutely couldn't agree more. Convert your time to money with this stuff and find out how much you're "paying" for these rewards.

Isn't your time worth significantly more than $6/hour?

So it is worth doing then? I mean, if you can get a month's worth of ISO for doing 13 hours of work, that sounds like a pretty fantastic deal that everyone should be thrilled about...

No need for sarc... Oh forgot who I'm talking to 🤣
Well it was a weekend of mindless grinding for me while watching sports, time that was unproductive to start with.
So the answer will be different for different people.
I don't think it took me 13 hours?
But there should have been a complete list of quests and rewards posted, to let people make informed decisions on whether to work on this or not.
Going in with no knowledge of later tiers is not how you roll this out.

I wasn't being sarcastic. Really! It seems like different folks have different complaints about this, and I was trying to nail down what the actual problem was, since it seems to be a problem. I still think it's fine, honestly.

@entrailbucket You frequently argue here that the developers don't design for the 'top 5%', which is mostly the frequent forum posters here and on discord. We here aren't a representative bunch so to speak.

However, these Tiered quests feel exactly tailored to the top % of players to me. It requires time (>13 hours!), knowledge of what characters might be most useful to complete a quest, required characters across all tiers, a relatively broad roster to make it easier, plenty of health packs, etc, etc.

I'm curious if this event has changed your opinion somewhat on whether we're on the radar of the Devs in their design. Genuine question, not being sarcastic here.
